Quei2 Agricultural Company
From the Passion and Love for Agriculture, a genuine expression of synergy between Nature and Man, the Quei2 Agricultural Company was born, where Alessandro and Martina personally lead 8 hectares of vineyards and 9 hectares of olive groves, on the hills of the Chianti Colli Fiorentini, surrounded by large natural wooded areas where flora and fauna typical of Tuscany still coexist today. Respect for the Times and Natural Laws, handed down in the family for three generations, requires the production of Wine and Oil only and exclusively from our Grapes and Olives, whose cultivation cycle, collection, transformation and bottling are directly and daily managed by us in order to always guarantee quality autochthonous products. The guiding principle of our activity is aimed at the protection and recovery of existing crops in the area. Contrary to the trend of modern agriculture that pushes the grubbing up of old vineyards and the replanting of ever new vineyards that limit the life of the plant to only 20 or 30 years, a choice often dictated by the need to obtain increasingly high production per single hectare accompanied from high mechanization in terms of working in the field, We also wanted to dedicate ourselves to the recovery of very old vineyards and olive groves. About four of the hectares of vineyards are made up of plants built in the 1960s and 70s, custodians of unique and distinctive characteristics compared to the tendency towards homologation which is fairly widespread in current wine production. The same applies to the olive trees, all over the age of 50, develop in the area according to the modus operandi present for centuries in Tuscany, far from modern intensive or super intensive crops. The respect for tradition and the care of the raw material is accompanied by a passion for innovation with modern equipment for working in the field and for winemaking in the cellar.
